Job Summary
PACU Registered Nurse (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) The healthcare provider is seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment at a Level II Trauma Center. The role involves providing post-anesthesia recovery care for a diverse patient population, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, with a focus on surgeries requiring anesthetics and spinal anesthesia.
Job Details
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (preferred)
- Education/Experience: 1 year of PACU experience required, with at least 1 year of overall nursing experience
- Location: The healthcare providers facility
- Schedule: 4x10 hour days (0900-1930) with a minimum of 40 hours per week, including weekends (once every 4 weeks), primary call shift, and secondary call shift in a 4-week schedule period
- Responsibilities include airway assessment, managing monitored anesthesia care, post-epidural management, and caring for a patient population that includes pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients undergoing various surgical procedures, including vascular, orthopedic, neuro/spine, urology, and cardiovascular procedures
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Epic charting system and trauma level II experience
- Candidates must include responses to recent employment at any Providence facility, along with two references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
