Job Summary
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) Medford, WI. This position involves providing direct patient care on a shared 20-bed unit that includes ICU and Med Surg services within a 25-bed critical access hospital. The role requires flexibility with rotating 12-hour shifts, primarily evening or night shifts, and the ability to float occasionally to support other departments or locations.

Job Details

• Position: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Medford, WI
• Shift: Rotating, 12-hour shifts, primarily PM or Nights. Schedule includes every other weekend and every other holiday.
• Schedule: 12 hours per shift, 36 hours minimum per week.
• Required Qualifications: WI or compact Registered Nurse (RN) license; ARC or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); 2+ years of experience, ideally with Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) background; ability to read tele strips; Associate Degree or Certificate.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree; Epic charting experience.
• Additional Information: May float to other Aspirus locations such as Merrill, Wausau, Stanley, and Langlade. Occasional on-call during low census hours with on-call pay; minimum call back of 2 hours. During flu season, unvaccinated travelers must wear masks at all times per policy. Scrubs must be clean and appropriate.
