Job Summary
ICU Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist in an acute care facility. This role involves caring for post-open heart surgery patients, managing ventilated patients, and utilizing advanced medical equipment. The position requires providing specialized critical care in a fast-paced environment with a focus on cardiac recovery.

Job Details

Position Type: Registered Nurse (RN) ICU Cardiovascular
Location: Not specified (ergonomic designation)
Shift Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, every other weekend (may work consecutive weekends to accommodate requested time off). Float to ICU, IMCU, ED, Medical-Surgical, telemetry, post-surgical, ortho neuro units.
Required Qualifications: Oregon RN License, BLS, ACLS, 3 years RN experience, 1 year of CVICU nursing, post-heart cath recovery, post-op day 1 open heart surgery patient management, experience with ventilated patients, swan ganz catheters, vasoactive medication titration.
Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
Additional Information: 12 hours orientation to CVICU. Call is not scheduled but may be required on a standby basis due to low census. Floating to other units is possible, with resource nurse responsibilities. RN union contract states float prior to regularly employed staff. The nurse must adhere to dress code standards with standard scrubs and limited facial jewelry.
