Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Specialist Location unspecified. This position involves providing advanced obstetric care in a delivery unit, managing high-risk deliveries, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. The role requires teamwork, independence, and clinical expertise in postpartum and labor management.

Job Details

• Position Description: Manage labor and delivery processes, including high-risk cases, postpartum care, and delivery management. Must be comfortable running and managing deliveries independently, with experience in postpartum and L&D required. Coverage includes about 30-40 deliveries per month, with responsibilities spanning patient assessment, monitoring, and intervention.
• Required Qualifications: Licensure to submit, ACLS, AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM), BLS Certification, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program); minimum 3 years of experience.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, every other weekend, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Must work within a team-oriented environment, capable of managing deliveries independently, and be flexible with floating to medical-surgical or critical care units, if desired. Orientation includes 2-3 days specific to the unit. Candidates must be comfortable with electronic charting using Cerner and managing high-risk pregnancies and deliveries.
