Job Details

• Position: IV Vascular Access Nurse Specialty: IV Vascular Access
• Location: On-site at a healthcare facility with a daily census of 68 patients
• Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: BLS, PICC Certification, ACLS/PALS, 2 years of clinical experience, valid licensure in the relevant state, and certification with valid expiration dates. Certifications must be AHA or ARC.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with adult inpatient settings, vascular access procedures, and patient education.
• Responsibilities: Performs vascular access procedures including ultrasound-guided peripheral venous access, PICC insertions, device stabilization, dressing changes, flushing, and patency assessments. Conducts site and vessel evaluation, maintains sterile technique, and ensures optimal device tip placement using various confirmation systems. Provides patient and family education and supports interdisciplinary teams with necessary vascular access procedures.
• Certifications: BLS, PICC Certification, ACLS/PALS.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in vascular access or related fields is preferred.
• Additional Information: The assignment will utilize a variable day shift schedule depending on departmental needs, including shifts at 0645-1915, 0500-1730, and/or 1100-2330. Completion of onboarding labs within 3-5 days of contract signing is required, with all compliance documentation due 10 days prior to start date.
