Job Summary
Operating Room Surgical Technician (ORT) for a healthcare provider in a healthcare facility. This position involves supporting surgical teams in the operating room, primarily focusing on orthopedic and trauma surgeries, with opportunities to assist in ENT, cataract removal, and C-sections. The role requires flexibility to be trained in various surgical procedures and adherence to hospital protocols.

Job Details

• Certifications and Requirements: Valid national certification, Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and eligibility to apply for the New Hampshire Medical Technologist certification 48 hours after acceptance.
• Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Assisting in surgical procedures, maintaining sterile environments, preparing operating rooms for surgeries, and supporting surgical teams including nurses and other assistive personnel.
• Experience: 0 years of experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ENT, Cataract, and C-sections is not required but willingness to be trained for these surgeries is necessary.
• Additional Information: The OR team consists of registered nurses, registered nurse first assistants, surgical technologists, and other personnel. RN patient ratios are 1:1. The unit handles a diverse patient population across a variety of surgical services.
