Job Details

• Position Description: Labor and Delivery Nurse in the Labor and Delivery Department.
• Specialty: Labor and Delivery.
• Location: a healthcare facility's Labor and Delivery unit.
• Schedule: Day Shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and AWHONN Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM).
• Preferred Qualifications: Over 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, Transition Nurse/Baby Catching skills.
• Unit Information: Labor beds - 11, obstetric emergency evaluation, OB post-anesthesia care unit, operating rooms.
• Patient Ratios: 1 RN/2 patients, 1 RN/1 patient.
• Equipment: GE fetal monitoring systems.
• EMR Systems: CPN, Meditech.
• Typical Procedures: Non-stress tests (NST), cervical exams, managing labor, titrating medications, McRoberts maneuver.
• Personality Fit: Loves organized chaos and handling multiple patients.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN EFM.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Weekend and on-call shifts may be required to support unit needs.
