Job Summary
Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician in ORT at the specified location. This role involves selecting and providing surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgical procedures. The technician will prepare for surgeries, anticipate surgeon needs, and ensure aseptic techniques are maintained throughout procedures.

Job Details

• Position Description: The Surgical Technician prepares for surgical procedures by pulling appropriate instruments and supplies, ensuring good condition of instruments, and reviewing case carts for accuracy. They assist during surgeries by passing instruments, retracting tissue, and operating equipment. The role involves adhering to aseptic techniques, participating in case turnover, and assisting with OR cleanup and replenishment of supplies.
• Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED or equivalent, current basic life support certification, and at least 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technician. Must be registered with the relevant State Regulatory Agency if applicable.
• Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week, with working days including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. No call required.
• Additional Information: Must have a minimum of 2 years' operating room experience and previous travel experience. The role is within a large Level I Trauma center and involves operating in a high-pressure environment with a need for organization, professionalism, and quick response to needs.
