Surgical Technician/Operating Room Tech, ORT Located in a healthcare facility. This role involves assisting during surgical procedures by preparing instruments, supplies, and equipment, and supporting surgeons to ensure smooth operation flow. Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: High school diploma or GED, current basic life support certification, 0.0 years minimum experience required, and must be registered with State Regulatory Agency.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include preparing for surgical procedures, anticipating surgeon needs, passing instruments, retraction, and operating equipment during surgery. Ensures accurate surgeon preference cards and assists with OR turnover, stocking, and cleaning. Participates in emergency call rotation and follows safety procedures including infection control, specimen handling, and sharps disposal.
• Additional information: The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a surgical technologist or operating room technician, with prior travel experience preferred. The position involves working at a large Level I Trauma center, with a schedule from 6:45 am to 7:15 pm, including trauma call shifts during evenings and weekends.
