Job Summary
The healthcare provider is seeking a Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT) for a position at a medical center in Cleveland, Ohio. This role involves supporting various surgical procedures across multiple specialties, including general, colorectal, gynecology, urology, breast, eye, brachytherapy, plastics, uro-gyn, and robotics. The technician will work primarily in a 7-room inpatient/outpatient unit, with the flexibility to float to other operating departments as needed, supporting a dynamic surgical team.
Job Details
- Position: Certified Operating Room Technician
- Location: Cleveland, Ohio
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, with minimum of 40 hours per week
- Start Date: 11/16/2026
- End Date: 02/14/2027
- Required Qualifications: Certified Operating Room Technician certification, valid drivers license or state ID, completion of UHS skills checklist, UHS submission packet, UHS prior employment form, and 0 years of experience required.
- Additional Information: The role involves scrubbing for a variety of surgical procedures including posterior eye, eye trauma, and gender affirmation surgeries. Da Vinci XI surgical system experience is required, and flexibility within the surgical specialties is necessary. The unit operates Monday through Friday, often finishing the day between 7-8 pm, with some float responsibilities when early finishes or staffing shortages occur. The position requires two weekend call shifts per contract without additional weekend obligations.
