Job Summary
ORT (Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician) located in a pediatric trauma and surgical unit, this position involves supporting surgical procedures within a level II pediatric trauma center, including adult-sized patients. The role encompasses assisting with a wide range of surgeries such as neurosurgery, urology, gynecology, orthopedics, oncology, ENT, and general surgeries, with opportunity for cross-training in robotics and high-level neuro cases.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), CST (Certified Surgical Technologist), Washington State license (must be in hand or have proof of application 6+ weeks ago); minimum of 5 years experience in high-level acute OR settings; experience scrubbing above case types including robotics, neuro, eyes, dental (preferred but not required)
• Schedule: Various 8-hour shifts, including days from 0645-1515, with additional options for 10, 12-hour days; minimum 40 hours per week; on-call required approximately 2 weeknights every 6 weeks with a 30-minute response time.
• Responsibilities include assisting in surgeries such as neurosurgery, urology, gynecology, orthopedics, oncology, ENT, and general procedures; floating to PICU and NICU units; supporting weekend rotations if assigned; maintaining sterile technique and supporting clinical teams during procedures.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates should meet the licensure and certification criteria and demonstrate scrubbing experience in the listed case types.
