Job Summary
An ICU Surgical, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse is needed in the healthcare setting. This position involves providing specialized nursing care for critically ill patients with complex surgical conditions, including trauma and transplant cases. The role requires flexibility, critical thinking, and the ability to adapt to a busy, fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Position Description:
  Responsible for delivering compassionate, comprehensive patient care in a high-acuity ICU environment, with a focus on trauma and surgical patients. Must be open to floating and flexible on scheduling, with a requirement for 2 years of experience and prior work in a busy hospital setting.
• Required Qualifications:
  Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); valid nursing license; willing to wait for license submission; minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Schedule:
  Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information:
  Experience or skills in early detection of patient condition changes, critical thinking, hemodynamic monitoring, ventilation management, and titratable drips are essential. RNs may be required to manage various IV drips including vasopressors and sedatives. Nurses will work with a charge nurse who may also take assignments, and there are patient care technicians on site. The unit operates 24/7 with intensivists and hospitalists present. Orientation comprises 2 shifts, with a 4-shift cancellation policy within 13 weeks of assignment.
