Job Summary
The organization is seeking an Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) registered nurse for a temporary assignment in an acute care setting. This role involves providing critical care to patients undergoing open heart surgery, transplants, and other major procedures, with experience in ECMO and trauma care preferred. The position requires adaptability to a busy hospital environment and floating across units as needed.

Job Details

• Position Description: ICU OH (Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular) registered nurse for an acute care setting focused on open heart procedures, transplants, and trauma patient care.
• Certifications and Experience: Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certifications. Minimum of 2 years of recent critical care experience in a busy hospital, including experience with ECMO and trauma patients preferred.
• Schedule: Nights shift from 7 PM to 7 AM; 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current licensure to practice as a registered nurse, valid certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS, at least 2 years of recent critical care experience in a busy hospital environment.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in open heart surgery, transplants, ECMO, and trauma care; previous travel experience; flexible on scheduling and floating; familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Responsibilities: Providing specialized care to advanced cardiac and trauma patients, managing complex clinical situations, and adhering to hospital protocols.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates need to be licensed and capable of submitting their license for processing.
