Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse in the healthcare setting. This role involves providing competent clinical nursing care in a hospital environment, with a focus on patients with complex problems. The position requires coordination and delivery of individualized patient care utilizing the nursing process, under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or Director.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of Nursing; licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA or ARC); at least 2 years of PCU experience required
• Preferred Qualifications: BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing
• Additional Information: Candidates will be responsible for patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients with complex problems. The role includes bedside point of care testing, discharge planning, and utilizing communication systems to promote safe, cost-effective care. Candidates should demonstrate leadership in team collaboration, patient education, and performance improvement activities.
