Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) located in the healthcare provider's organization seeks an experienced registered nurse for a temporary assignment. The role involves providing specialized patient care in a busy Level 1 Trauma Center ICU, managing complex conditions such as heart failure, STEMI, pulmonary emboli, and arrhythmias. Candidates must be flexible, highly skilled, and prepared to float to similar units as needed.

Job Details

• Position Description: The unit notes highlight the need for RNs to be open to floating, with experience in managing ventilators, pressors, and hemodynamics such as PAC, CVP, arterial lines. RNs are responsible for titrating drips including epinephrine, norepinephrine, vasopressin, dobutamine, milrinone, amiodarone, and Cardene. The ICU is a busy setting with a patient ratio of 1:2, occasionally 1:1, and requires managing high-acuity patients.
• Required Qualifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS; minimum 2 years of ICU experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center ICU; medical-surgical ICU experience preferred; willing to float to similar units; must have managed ventilators, pressors, and hemodynamics.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, 48 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Successful candidates will have prior experience in a high-volume hospital, and have worked in critical care settings managing complex cardiac conditions, including ventilators, pressors, and hemodynamics. Epic documentation proficiency is required. Successful placements typically have 3+ years of experience, previous travel experience, and a background in busy hospitals.
