Job Summary
ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Cardiovascular Nurse Location: Not Specified. This role involves providing specialized critical care to patients in a busy Level 1 Trauma ICU. The position requires a highly skilled Registered Nurse with experience managing complex cardiac and trauma cases, including ventilators, pressors, and hemodynamics.

Job Details

• Position Description: The ICU Cardiovascular Nurse will support care for patients with diagnoses such as heart failure, STEMI, pulmonary emboli, arrhythmias, and MICU overflow, featuring a nurse:patient ratio of 1:2, occasionally 1:1.
• Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications; minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, previous travel experience, and at least 3 years of recent hospital experience in a busy hospital setting are required.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week, including EOW (every other weekend) coverage.
• Additional Information: RNs must be open to floating, with first to float to similar units. The ability to troubleshoot ventilators, manage pressors, and intervene in emergencies such as self-extubation or trach dislodgement is essential. Epic documentation is required, and charting will be completed using EPIC.
