Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse, located in a healthcare organization, is responsible for providing direct patient care to individuals in a fast-paced emergency department. The role involves utilizing the nursing process to deliver safe, effective, patient-centered care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, while collaborating with the healthcare team and ensuring compliance with protocols and standards.

Job Details

• Shift: Nights
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications from American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross, and a minimum of 2 years current experience in a large Emergency Department.
• Selected candidates must successfully pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test. Candidates will not be able to start an assignment until they have passed this onsite administered test. Should they fail, candidates will have one opportunity to re-test, a second failure will result in contract cancellation and all applicable fees will be enforced.
• Candidates must have completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, administering medications and treatments as prescribed, coordinating care with patients and families, supervising clinical staff, and documenting patient information following departmental standards.
• Additional skills such as Epic experience and flexibility in a fast-paced environment are preferred but not required.
• Candidates must be team players, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
