Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry RN, Telehealth, Nights This healthcare organization seeks a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry for night shifts. The role involves working within a virtual integrated care nursing model, managing patients with diagnoses such as heart failure, diabetes, pneumonia, chronic kidney disease, and metabolic/surgical conditions. The RN will be responsible for patient monitoring, reading strips, and supporting telemonitoring staff as part of a dynamic nursing team.

Job Details

• Shift: Nights; 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS Certification; minimum of 3 years of RN experience in medical-surgical or telemetry units; current license to practice as an RN; willing to wait for license submission
• Responsibilities include working within the virtual integrated care model, managing Cpap, Bipap, and high-flow patients, and floating across all medical-surgical units as needed.
• The unit operates with a 6/1 patient-to-nurse ratio, with PCTs (Patient Care Technicians) present on the unit.
• Orientation will include department-specific training in a hospital setting.
• Flexibility to float across multiple units, including telemetry and PCU, is required.
• The position demands excellent communication and time management skills to support patient care effectively, especially given the acuity level and telehealth monitoring.
