Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) Nurse, located in a rural hospital setting, provides critical care to patients with conditions such as congestive heart failure, diabetes, pneumonia, and chronic kidney disease. The role involves delivering high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced environment that relies heavily on travel professionals to maintain staffing levels.

• Shift Time: Days
• Shift Hours: 12
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36
• Required Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS, at least 18 months of recent Medical Surgical with Telemetry experience, great communication, and time management skills.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, scheduling by the manager, based on facility needs.
• Additional Information:
  • Must be able to read strips, as RNs monitor patients and interpret telemetry strips.
  • Responsible for managing Cpap, Bipap, and high-flow patients.
  • Will float to all Medical/Surgical units and possibly to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to care for Telemetry holds prior to transfer.
  • Department orientation includes two shadow/orientation shifts.
  • Transition to Electronic Patient Health Record (EPIC) system scheduled for October 30, 2026.
  • Response to facility needs includes occasional float to other units, and the role includes on-call or standby as required by the facility.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
