Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) nurse position available in an acute care setting. This role involves providing specialized care for patients undergoing open heart surgery and transplants, with a preference for candidates experienced with Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO). The position requires flexibility for floating shifts and working in a busy, Level 1 Trauma hospital.

Job Details

• Location: Not specified.
• Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS; minimum 2 years of experience; ability to submit licensure; BSN preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with open heart surgery, transplants, AAA Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRRT) experience, recent ECMO experience, and strong critical care background in major academic medical centers.
• Responsibilities: Providing critical care in a Level 1 Trauma hospital, managing post-operative cardiac and transplant patients, adhering to protocols for ECMO and other advanced critical care modalities.
• Schedule Notes: Candidates need to be flexible on scheduling, no self-scheduling available, and must work every other week.
• Additional Information: Successful candidates typically have 3+ years of experience, prior travel experience, and have worked in busy hospital environments. Charting is done via EPIC. Parking options range from daily parking to monthly passes.
• Submission Requirements: Must be able to submit licensure.
