Job Summary
An Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) is needed in the ICU department. This position involves providing specialized critical care in a busy, high-acuity environment, with responsibilities including managing heart, lung transplant, LVAD patients, and patients undergoing valve surgeries. It requires flexibility with floating rotations and the ability to work 12-hour night shifts.

Job Details

• Position Description: ICU RN for a Level 1 trauma unit with high patient acuity. Experience with heart transplants, LVAD patients, and managing vasoactive drips is required. Candidates must be open to floating and flexible scheduling.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; ACLS; BLS Certification; NIHSS; minimum of 2 years of experience in ICU.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience; experience managing LVAD, CRRT/SLED, Impella, IABP devices; experience in a busy hospital setting.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, scheduled based on unit needs, with 48 hours per week minimum.
• Additional Information: Successful candidates will have worked in high-volume hospital environments, have 3+ years of experience, and familiarity with EPIC charting system. Critical skills include CRRT training and experience titrating vasoactive drips. The unit has telemonitoring capabilities, RT coverage 24/7, and a charge nurse overseeing patient care. First to float out depending on competency.
