Job Summary
The labor and delivery department at a healthcare facility in Kailua is seeking a qualified registered nurse. This position involves delivering coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients, following established standards and the nursing process. The role requires supervising and directing the activities of various levels of nursing staff and coordinating care with other healthcare disciplines.
Job Details
- Shift Time: Nights
- Shift Hours: 12 hours
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN); Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from an approved vendor; Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor.
- Preferred Qualifications: Acute care facility experience.
- Additional Information: The candidate will be responsible for collecting relevant patient data, analyzing this data to determine diagnosis and care issues, developing and implementing care plans, and coordinating care delivery to promote health and safety. They will also evaluate progress, collaborate with the healthcare team, provide patient and family education, participate in discharge planning, delegate duties appropriately, and perform other related duties as required.
