Job Summary:

Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in en_US This ER nurse position involves providing acute care in a high-capacity Emergency Department with 21 beds, trauma bays, and specialized rooms. The role requires ensuring timely patient management, triage, and responding effectively to diverse emergency cases.

Job Details:

• Position Description: Emergency Room RN managing a busy department with 21 beds, 2 trauma bays, 1 resuscitation room, and specialized triage areas. The department handles approximately 50 patients daily, and patient rooming occurs within 7 minutes of arrival.
• Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS, BLS, ENPC, NIHSS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), PALS, and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications; current RN license; at least 2 years of Emergency Room experience; valid drivers license; available for night shifts; and flexible to work weekends and holidays.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The department operates a separate triage area, with most patients being rapidly assigned to rooms. RN staff can manage their own ER holds. Pediatric readiness certification is required, and staff must be competent with pediatric patients. RT staff perform ABGs and breathing treatments, while ED nurses handle EKGs and monitor patient strips. Transport services manage imaging logistics, and labs are predominantly drawn by nurses.
