Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) RN Springfield, MO. This position involves providing direct patient care to neonatal patients within a Level 3 NICU setting on the night shift. The role requires flexibility to work across multiple units based on patient volume, ensuring high-quality care for premature infants, infants of diabetic mothers, and infants with respiratory distress.

Job Details

• Position: RN Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Location: Springfield, MO
• Schedule: Nights, 3x12 shifts, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, Minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current RN license (eligible for licensure in Missouri or licensed in Missouri), BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program); minimum 2 years NICU experience, including vent competence; flexible, positive personality.
• Preferred Qualifications: 2 years in a NICU level 3 or higher setting.
• Additional Information: Night shift orientation on day shift; orientation involves full week availability. Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinates care with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes. Works within the scope of nursing practice following the Missouri Nurse Practice Act, Mercy Code of Conduct, Mercy Mission and Values, and Mercy Service Standards. Nurses may be expected to work in NICU, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), or Postpartum floor based on patient volumes.
