Job Summary
The organization is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse specialized in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for a healthcare facility. This role involves delivering competent clinical nursing care aligned with professional standards, coordinating patient care, and participating in interdisciplinary team discussions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Position Description: Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Coordinates and delivers patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting, with responsibilities including education, assessment, evaluation of care, and leadership activities.
• Certifications & Education: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross). Nursing Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited school of Nursing. Preferred education includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Experience: One (1) year of nursing experience. Minimum experience requirements of 0 years are also noted.
• Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
• Shift Schedule: Days, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The role involves duties such as medication administration, triage, infusion therapy on the 4th floor including oncology infusion, outpatient and transplant experience preferred, and performing bedside point of care testing. Candidates should be knowledgeable about healthcare organization and nursing standards, discharge planning, and performance improvement activities.
