Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Richmond, VA. This position involves providing urgent care and critical services in a 24-bed emergency department, including fast track areas, within a general hospital setting. The successful candidate will manage a variety of emergency cases with a focus on patient safety and quality care.

Job Details

• Position Description: Emergency Department nurse responsible for delivering acute patient care in a fast-paced environment at a general hospital with 24 beds and 5 fast track bays. Care responsibilities include maintaining patient safety and following medical protocols.
• Required Qualifications: Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) certification, emergency room experience, and at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Shifts start at 7a, 9a, 11a, 11a, 1p, 3p, or 7p depending on the shift, with weekends and on-call requirements.
• Additional Information: Utilizes electronic medical record system Meditech. Staffing varies based on volume and admission patterns, with a patient ratio of approximately 4:1. The role requires a hard-working, critical thinker, with outgoing personality traits.
