Description

Job Summary
The healthcare provider is seeking a Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician (ORT) for a position in the surgical department. This role involves supporting various surgical procedures across multiple specialties, including neuro, ortho, gynecology, eyes, ENT, and robotics, within an acute care setting. The technician will assist with case preparation, sterile technique, and intraoperative support.

Job Details

Certifications and Education Requirements: BLS (AHA); minimal experience required: 2 years.
Position Description: Support surgical operations in multiple specialties, including neuro, ortho, GYN, eyes, ENT, and robotics; assist with procedures such as ventriculostomies, IM nails, liver/spleen resections, scopes, ex fix, closed reduction, total knees/hips, ORIF, craniotomies, tumor resections, facial fractures, enucleation, sinus, thoracotomy, endoscopy, and pediatric emergency cases.
Schedule: Rotating shifts, including mid-shift Monday-Thursday from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM, with rotating weekend call, and 10-hour shift hours averaging 40 hours per week.
Additional Information: Candidate must have neuro and ortho experience, robotics experience, and be willing to work the specified shifts. Upfront RTO requests of 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract are required; no additional RTO will be approved during the assignment. Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with commonSpirit, including CHI and Dignity. Candidate must have a valid drivers license for entry screening, and fingernail policy prohibits artificial nails in patient care areas.
