Job Summary
Operating Room (Open Heart) Nurse in Asheville, North Carolina. This position requires extensive expertise and experience in the scrub role within cardiovascular operating rooms, specializing in procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, VAD insertions, TAVR, and other high-complexity cardiac surgeries. The role involves supporting a busy, high-performing surgical team at a regional referral hospital for a temporary period through December 14, 2026.

Job Details

• Certifications and Education Requirements: CST certification, BLS certification, valid state licensure if applicable.
• Specialty: Operating Room Open Heart.
• Schedule: Day shift, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Experience: Zero years minimum experience required; candidates must have CVOR experience and completed two travel assignments.
• Responsibilities include assisting with high-volume cardiac surgeries, maintaining sterile technique, supporting various complex procedures such as CABG, valve replacement, TAVR, pacemaker/AICD insertions, and circulatory arrest cases.
• Additional information: Extensive relevant CVOR experience is necessary. First Assist proficiency is preferred but not mandatory.
• Submissions must include certification details and evidence of CVOR experience and travel assignment history.
• Float rotation may be required.
