Medical Surgical Neurology RN Portland, ME. This position involves providing specialized nursing care to neurosurgical patients within a fast-paced healthcare environment. The role requires proactive teamwork and a positive attitude to support patient recovery and well-being.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: No specific certification required; neuro experience necessary; educational background relevant to neuro/neurosurgical nursing; valid license to practice as a registered nurse; location in Portland, ME; 0 years of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in neurosurgical or neurological trauma nursing.
- Additional Information: The role involves caring for neurosurgical patients, including those with spinal surgeries, brain tumors, seizure disorders, VP shunts, head bleeds, traumatic injuries, and joint replacement surgeries. The unit maintains a patient ratio of approximately 1:4-5 during the day and 1:5-6 at night. EMR system used is Epic. The nurse must maintain a professional appearance with scrub color of their choice.
