Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse in Hawaii This position involves providing specialized nursing care within a 15-bed progressive care unit that includes a 3-step down ICU and telemetry. The role requires managing patient monitoring, primary nursing duties, and utilizing various medical equipment, with shifts conducted overnight.

Job Details:

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Valid Hawaii license, current ACLS and PALS preferred, NIHSS certification preferred, at least 1 year hospital acute care experience within the last year.
• Schedule: Night shift from 1845 to 0715, scheduled 36 hours per week following orientation, with no guarantee of hours.
• Clinical responsibilities include primary nursing care, telemetry monitoring, telemetry strip reading, fingerstick blood sugar testing.
• Equipment utilized in the unit includes Meditech charting, Pyxis medication system, BIPAP, and continuous cardiac monitoring.
• Additional information: Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for employee health appointment, with no call requirement. The position may involve floating to all acute units in the facility including medical, surgical/pediatric, ICU, and emergency department.
• Submission requirements: Candidate must have Hawaii license before start, and must be available to begin on or before 11/09/2026.
