Job Details

• Position Description:
  Unit notes specify a MedSurg/Telemetry unit with divided beds, including a 14-bed unit and a main 44-bed unit. The unit handles patients with surgical, orthopedic, medical, cardiac, and stepdown needs, including post-cardiac procedures and sepsis management.
• Certifications:
  ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Education & Experience:
  Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Schedule:
  Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Specific Responsibilities:
  Care includes managing drips like amiodarone, heparin, cardizem, insulin, nitro, and dopamine (for renal dosing). No vents are typically required, but bipap or cpap may be used.
• Additional Details:
  The unit operates Cerner electronic medical records, with specified patient monitoring, and requires float capability between the 300 unit and the main unit. Orientation includes 6 hours of floor-specific training.
