Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor RN Location: unspecified. This position involves providing nursing care in a medical-surgical unit that cares for adult and pediatric patients with various diagnoses such as UTI, altered mental status, pneumonia, and COPD. The role requires collaboration within a team to deliver quality patient care, adhering to established protocols and standards.

Job Details

• Certifications Required: BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
• Education/Degree Requirements: Valid nursing license to submit; minimum of 1 year of clinical experience required.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting RT equipment (such as BIPAP and high-flow oxygen devices), reading telemetry strips, and participating in a unit that emphasizes communication, motivation, and teamwork.
• Orientation includes one 12-hour shift or one night and one day shift, with additional float requirements to ED/ICU as needed.
• RAiding a 17-bed unit with 14 inpatient beds and 3 observation beds, with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 during the day and 1:5 at night.
• Self-scheduling is allowed, with shifts covering 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and weekends as needed.
• Must pass fit testing if facial hair is present; contract cancellation may occur if facial hair cannot be removed.
• The facility has a Pediatrician on-call 24/7, and telemonitoring is utilized for patient care.
• Candidates must adhere to a 50-mile radius rule and cannot be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any associated organizations.
