Job Summary
Surgical Technician (ORT) Location not specified. This role involves delivering intra-operative care to patients across various surgical specialties, including ENT, General, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Pain Management, Ophthalmology, Urology, OB/Gynecology, and Endoscopy procedures. The technician assists in maintaining sterile fields, preparing operating rooms, and supporting surgeons under the supervision of physicians and registered nurses.
Job Details
- Certifications and Requirements: Valid license or appropriate certification required. Epic experience within the last 12 months is necessary.
- Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week on days. Call requirements of approximately 70-80 hours every 4 weeks with a response time of 30 minutes.
- Responsibilities: Deliver intra-operative care, prepare and maintain sterile environments, pass instruments and supplies, and assist operating room staff during surgical procedures.
- Additional Information: Provides care to patients of all ages undergoing various surgical procedures in multiple specialties. Call rotation is required, with approximately 70-80 hours in a four-week period.
