Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing care to patients such as those with congestive heart failure, stroke, sepsis, cardiac dysrhythmias, pneumonia, and observation status. The position requires flexibility in schedule and involves contact with COVID patients, with on-call and weekend duties as assigned.

Job Details

Position: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse
Location: Healthcare facility (specific site not disclosed)
Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS, NIHSS
Education & Experience: 1 year of experience in Progressive Care Unit and telemetry experience; no minimum years of experience required beyond that
Schedule: Nights shift (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.), 36 hours per week, with weekend rotation every other weekend
Clinical Responsibilities: Care for patients with conditions including CHF, stroke, sepsis, cardiac dysrhythmias, pneumonia, and observation status; may involve contact with COVID patients and surging inpatient units
Float: First to float if census drops to Medical, Surgical, Observation Unit
Floor Orientation: 3 days
Scrubs: Navy blue pants and solid navy-blue tops or solid white (matching jackets), with long sleeve shirts under scrubs navy or white
Additional Requirements: Epic access is required
