Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Not specified. This role involves floating between units within the healthcare facility, providing specialized care to adult patients with a variety of medical conditions. The position requires working night shifts and entails delivering quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Position Description: BLOCK 1Y/1ST TIMER - PCU RN - Req 10903. The RN will float between units as needed.
- Required Qualifications: Valid licensure in the relevant state or possession of a Compact license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, 1 year of clinical experience, experience with patient ratios of 3-4, proficiency with charting systems (Epic required), and experience in a community hospital setting.
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Candidates should be prepared to work in a short-term acute care setting with adult patients diagnosed with conditions such as congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation, stroke, sepsis, and others. The role involves coordinating with interdisciplinary support teams, managing various clinical procedures, and adhering to safety protocols including PPE and isolation precautions.
- Submission Requirements: Applicants must respond to specific questions regarding previous experience at Providence facilities, provide two references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years, and demonstrate flexibility with floating between nearby facilities if needed.
