Job Summary
The organization is seeking an ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse to join the healthcare providers team in an acute care setting on a night shift schedule. This role involves providing specialized care to patients with critical health conditions, primarily within the medical ICU, and may include float assignments to sister facilities and MedSurg units at Woodland.

Job Details

• Position Description: Unit notes specify prescreens and automatic offers with a 24-hour window for manager rescission. Candidates must submit two supervisor referencesone within 12 months and another within 3 years of work history. A valid drivers license is required at the time of submission to verify legal name; pulse must reflect ID name. Candidates must not have been directly employed by any facility associated with the organization, including named health systems, within the past year unless employed through outside staffing firms.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications include ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS, and PALS (American Heart Association). Education includes licensure to practice as an ICU RN. Must have a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience interpreting EKG strips and float to sister facilities or MedSurg units.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, with every other weekend and rotating holidays.
• Additional Information: The ICU has a horseshoe layout, making it suitable for ICU RN travelers. The unit has adjacent Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Responsibilities include bed-side reporting, both patient care and relief, with optional overtime and extra shifts. Self-scheduling is utilized, and schedules are released 4 weeks in advance. The first to float will be expected to float to sister facilities and MedSurg units at Woodland. Orientation includes 1-2 days with a preceptor.
