Job Summary
PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) Pediatric ICU Nurse Level II Trauma Center, Level IV NICU Available in the specified location. This role involves providing specialized care to respiratory, trauma, cardiovascular, and surgically complex pediatric patients. The position requires a highly skilled nurse capable of managing ventilators, trachs, chest tubes, epidurals, and other critical interventions in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Position Description: Simplifi Clinical Interviewing and Unit Final Review experience required; minimum of 2 years relevant experience preferred in PICU or similar pediatric critical care settings.
• Certifications and Education: BLS, PALS certifications required.
• Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts (0700-1900 or 1900-0700), every other weekend rotation, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Experience Requirements: 2 years of clinical experience in a pediatric intensive care environment; experience with aseptic and sterile techniques, ventilator and trach management, g-tube/j-tube management, suctioning, CRRT, and use of Epic EMR preferred.
• Additional Responsibilities: Care for a diverse patient population including respiratory patients, chemo, RSV, asthma, Covid, MIS-C, diabetes with insulin drips, oncology, trauma, cardiovascular congenital heart defect patients, and surgical cases such as g-tubes, ENT, fresh trachs, bowel obstructions, VP shunts, and neuro conditions.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Application Submission: Candidates must be able to use Epic EMR and demonstrate the ability to manage complex pediatric cases, including those requiring ECMO and CRRT with PriMax.
