Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) nursing position located in Sacramento. This role involves caring for high-acuity cardiac surgical ICU patients, requiring proactive and confident clinical skills, with a focus on post-operative and critical care cases in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Position Description: Critical care RN in a high acuity Cardiovascular Surgical Intensive Care Unit, handling cases such as post-CABG, LVADs, IABP, TAVRs, CRRT (Next Stage), and various critical drips.
• Certifications and Education: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; 2+ years of ICU experience in cardiovascular or neuro-critical care setting; valid license to practice.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, starting at 5:45 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Every other weekend required; rotating holiday schedule; self-scheduling available.
• Additional Responsibilities: Handling post-op cardiac patients, interpreting EKGs, managing vents, and following pathway protocols for various cardiac and critical conditions.
• Additional notes: Experienced candidates must have worked at least 2 full years in CVICU and completed one travel assignment in similar settings. The role may involve float to other Sacramento facilities, with specific floor orientation.
• Submission Requirements: Must complete the UNA Dys exam within 24-48 hours, with passing score required for consideration.
