Job Summary
Telemetry Nursing, Telemetry, en_US This position involves providing specialized care to patients with cardiac conditions, stroke, congestive heart failure, and other acute diagnoses in an acute care setting. The role requires overseeing patient monitoring, administering drips, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Location: Telemetry Department
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), phlebotomy certification required.
• Education/Experience: RN license required; minimum 2 years of recent experience in cath lab post recovery (femoral/radial) and stroke care highly preferred; must have drip experience.
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM7:30 AM) scheduled on most in-need shifts, with every other weekend and holiday rotation required.
• Responsibilities: Monitor telemetry, titrate titratable medications such as Cardizem, Amio, Dopamine, and tritrate Heparin, respond to acute patient needs, and sign off on telemetry strips.
• Additional Information: Experience with Meditech is a plus. Floating to ICU, Medical-Surgical, or Emergency Room may be required; team members may take patients within scope, including ER boarders. Department specific orientation includes two 12-hour shifts.
