Job Summary
Long Term Care Registered Nurse (RN) Crisfield, MD
This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care within a Long Term Care (LTC) facility. The RN is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in accordance with ANA Standards and the Nursing Process, acting as a patient advocate, and educating patients and families on self-care issues. The role requires technical competence in nursing procedures and supervision of direct care staff.

Job Details

• Certifications: Active Maryland State Nursing License; BLS (AHA) certification required.
• Education: No specific degree requirement beyond licensure.
• Experience: At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience required.
• Location Requirements: Must be willing to work in Crisfield, MD.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, either from 6:45 am to 7:15 pm or 6:45 pm to 7:15 am, rotating weekends, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include performing head-to-toe and focused assessments, vital signs, medication administration and reconciliation, IV therapy and management, wound care, infection prevention, blood glucose monitoring, pain management, oxygen therapy, catheter care, enteral feeding tube care, bowel and bladder management, fall and injury prevention, skin assessments, emergency response, and proper documentation using Point Click Care EMR system.
• New employees complete onboarding at a designated site, followed by facility-specific orientation, shadowing, and training on resident routines, documentation, and workflows.
• Employees will be assigned their own resident group after initial orientation with ongoing support from the nursing team.
