Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) RN Night Shift located at the healthcare facility. This position involves caring for labor and post-partum patients, including managing vaginal births, cesarean sections, inductions, and special care nursery newborns. The role requires adherence to American Womens Health and Obstetric Nurses Network (AWHONN) guidelines and collaboration with in-house anesthesia, neonatologists, and respiratory therapy staff.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: BLS (American Heart Association), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• Shift Details: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibility Highlights: Assist in labor and delivery, recovery after cesarean sections, monitor fetal heart rates with Electronic Fetal Monitor (EFM) systems, titrate epidural and IV medications to induce labor, and care for post-partum patients.
• Unit Specifics: Care for labor and post-partum patients with a total of 11 beds, including suites for cesarean sections and triage beds.
• Additional Notes: Self-scheduling available; work may include variable days and nights. No call, with opportunities to pick up extra shifts. Floating to other units such as Medical-Surgical (MS) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) as needed, without taking patient loads outside of scope of practice.
• Charting System: Cerner.
• Licensing: Valid license to submit.
• Other Requirements: All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility.
