Job Summary
Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) Location not specified. This position involves working in the Central Sterile Supply department, responsible for decontaminating, processing, assembling, sterilizing, and storing surgical instrumentation and medical equipment. The role includes working across various sterile processing and distribution areas within the healthcare facility, with rotation requirements and on-call duties as needed.

Job Details

• Qualifications: 4-5 years of experience in a hospital setting involving sterilization, decontamination, processing, assembly, storing, and distribution of surgical instrumentation, supplies, devices, and equipment. Capable of running Olympus OER Washers. Certified Surgical Technologist (CR-CST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CBSPD) required.
• Schedule: Night shift, 8 hours, starting at 11 pm; minimum 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: This position requires working in the Central Sterile Supply department, including rotation to all areas of Central Sterile and Distribution. Candidates must be able to identify instruments, work while standing, and meet mandatory emergency staffing and overtime requirements. Compliance with Covid and Flu vaccination policies is required, with medical or religious declinations permitted. The assignment will begin on 10/30/2026 and end on 01/28/2027.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience in a sterile processing role is preferred.
