Job Summary:
Telemetry (TELE) Nursing in a medical-surgical and telemetry unit located in an acute care facility. This fast-paced, mixed unit handles a high volume of admissions and discharges, requiring experienced professionals to provide safe patient care. The role involves working day shifts with a schedule of 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays, and requires the ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and manage ventilator support.

Job Details:

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required; minimum of 3 years of clinical experience; valid nursing license to submit; recent Cerner EMR experience preferred or ability to test out of Cerner training.
• Schedule: Day shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include managing patients with acute and chronic medical conditions, post-surgical care including bariatrics and total joint patients, stroke care, and non-titratable drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Heparin.
• Must be able to interpret all cardiac rhythms and support ventilator patients (Cpap or Bipap per RT).
• Unit operates with a strict attendance policy, with possible floating to other MedSurg or Telemetry areas, including ICU or ER if no beds are available.
• Orientation may include 1-3 shifts depending on Cerner EMR experience.
• Additional notes: warm staff environment, high turnover, and fast-paced unit with a focus on patient safety.
