The organization is seeking a Telemetry Registered Nurse for an acute care setting specializing in trauma, stroke, and NICU levels 2 and 3. This role involves working in a community-owned hospital on days and nights shifts, providing compassionate care to diverse patient populations, including those with complex medical conditions and isolation needs.

Job Details

• Position: Telemetry Registered Nurse
• Location: Not specified (must reside at least 75 miles from the facility)
• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Valid ACLS, Basic Life Support (BLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with shifts scheduled from 06:45 AM to 07:15 PM and 06:45 PM to 07:15 AM; minimum of 36 hours per week, eow requirement, and holiday rotation included
• Additional Qualifications: Experience with wounds, pressure ulcers, CAUTIs, dressing changes, and wound care per orders. Must be capable of working with COVID patients, employing proper PPE, and handling diverse clinical situations including GI bleeds, strokes, cardiac overflow, dialysis, and wound management.
• Responsibilities: Providing patient care in private rooms within a multi-pod unit, performing wound dressings, managing important protocols such as CAUTIs, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsible for monitoring patient strips, administering non-titrating and titrating medications, and working with Cerner electronic medical records.
• Additional Information: Must work with a team that values initiative, customer service, and adherence to protocols. Will float to Medical Surgical units as needed, with specific protocols for COVID units and a focus on patient safety and quality care.
