Job Details

• Position: Medical Surgical Nurse
• Specialty: Medical Surgical Floor
• Location: Washington state region (primary site at St. Francis Hospital, with floating to St. Anne Hospital Burien, Virginia Mason Medical Center Seattle, and St. Francis Hospital Federal Way, WA)
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; current state licensure; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; minimum of 2 years related work experience; ability to read strips from centralized telemonitoring via Ascom app (preferred)
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Responsibilities:
  • Care for general medical patients including those with sepsis, COPD, bowel obstructions, CHF, etc.
  • Titrate drips such as insulin and heparin.
  • Use Cpap and bipap respiratory equipment.
  • Collaborate with team on patient care delivery.
• Schedule details: 0600-1830 day shift, 1800-0630 night shift; willing to float throughout Region I; shifts may include weekends and holidays; floating within the region is required for coverage.
• Additional Information:
  • No telemonitor techs available on unit; RNs read their own strips via central AZ-based telemonitor accessible through an iPhone app.
  • Cancelation policy allows up to four shifts canceled per 13-week assignment, or three shifts for shorter assignments.
  • Clear communication and adherence to hospital protocols are essential.
  • Must submit a license to practice and be willing to wait for licensure approval before starting.
