• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS, minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, experience working in a busy hospital environment, previous travel experience preferred
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with LVAD patients, care for complex patient populations, flexibility to float when required
• Additional Information:
  • Unit handles patients on ventilators, bedbound, and those waiting for discharge to long-term care, skilled nursing, or home.
  • Patients are frequently awake, alert, and request medications or other needs.
  • May require handling drips like insulin, heparin, and Angiomax.
  • Patient ratio: 1 to 3.
  • Must be comfortable working in a Level 1 trauma environment.
  • Charting system: EPIC.
  • Cancelled shifts: up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or up to 3 shifts for shorter assignments.
  • Flexibility on scheduling required; no self-scheduling permitted.
