The healthcare provider, specializing in Step Down Nursing, is seeking qualified nurses for a 12-bed unit in a hospital setting. The position involves caring for patients with dysrhythmias, cardiopulmonary issues, sepsis, high flow oxygen needs, and behavioral concerns requiring IV medication management, with a focus on high throughput in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Position Description: 12-bed Step Down Unit caring for diverse patient populations including dysrhythmias, cardiopulmonary conditions, sepsis, high flow oxygen needs, and behavioral patients requiring IV drips such as dopamine, levophed, cardizem, heparin, precedex, nitro, amio, dobutamine, and Nicardine. The unit maintains a patient-to-nurse ratio of approximately 1:3/4 depending on acuity.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit, ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS, and a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The unit has an educator who collaborates closely with staff, and throughput is high due to the nature of step-down care. The assignment may require working up to every other weekend.
