Job Summary
This position is for an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Cardiovascular Registered Nurse (RN) in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The role involves providing specialized care for cardiac procedure patients on an 18-bed interventional care unit. The RN will be responsible for managing post-operative nursing care, including cardiac monitoring, patient assessments, and supporting advanced cardiac procedures.

Job Details

• Position Description: Travel RN for Stepdown/Telemetry with a minimum of 2 years hospital experience required; must hold a Virginia (VA) license or a Compact license at the time of submission. Must possess BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Cardiovascular
• Shift Details: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 10/19/2026
• End Date: 01/18/2027
• Required Qualifications: Valid VA license or Compact license, BLS, ACLS certifications, hospital experience in cardiac care, proficiency in telemetry, and the ability to perform advanced cardiac procedures.
• Unit Specifics: 18-bed unit focused on cardiac procedures such as STEMI, NSTEMI, PCI, and post-catheterization care, with a staffing pattern of 5 RNs, 2 LNA, and a Unit Clerk per shift.
• Equipment and Documentation: Use of IV pumps, Sara Steady, HiFlo, Bipap, Kangaroo pumps, Hoyer lift, bladder scanner, and Meditech Expanse documentation system.
• Additional Information: Candidates should be proficient in telemetry, capable of bedside shift reports, handoffs, and establishing personal connections with patients. The unit has received recognition as a Unit of Distinction and is a designated STEMI hospital and stroke center.
