Telemetry Nurse, Nights, working in an acute care setting on a busy telemetry unit with 22 beds. This position involves providing specialized care for patients with neurological and cardiac conditions, including stroke, TIA, seizure, TBI, and related diagnoses. The role emphasizes patient experience, core measures, and adherence to mission and values within a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Location: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week, with schedules made approximately 3 weeks in advance and available for shift trades.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, ACLS certification, BLS certification, NIHSS certification, COVID vaccination, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in telemetry or similar specialty.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with weekend shifts required (either Saturday/Sunday or Friday/Saturday), and work is scheduled within a rotating holiday requirement.
• Additional Information: Unit uses Cerner charting system, operates with GE Apex Telemetry monitors, and nurses must be able to interpret telemetry strips and pass a dysrhythmia exam. The unit is staffed with RN charge nurse, house supervisor, and float nurses, with patient care provided by RN staff and unit aides. The unit prioritizes bedside shift reports and patient satisfaction metrics.
