Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Infusion for a position located in Winston-Salem, NC. The RN will provide care for adults with various cancer diagnoses at a hematology and oncology outpatient clinic, focusing on infusion therapy. The role involves delivering chemo and immunotherapy treatments, managing side effects, and ensuring patient safety within a team-oriented environment.

Job Details

Position: RN - Infusion
Location: Winston-Salem, NC
Shift: Days, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS certification, Chemo/Bio certification, and at least 1 year of experience in an oncology or infusion setting
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with administration of anti-neoplastic agents, port access, IV starts, and knowledge of chemo/immunotherapy side effects and management
Responsibilities: Deliver chemotherapy and immunotherapy infusions, administer medications, manage side effects, perform port access, start IVs, and utilize EMR systems (EPIC/Encompass)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with no weekend rotation or on-call duties specified
Orientation: One week of facility and unit orientation provided
Float: Float rotation may be required
Additional Information: The unit is a team-oriented environment that manages an average of 125 patients daily, with a patient ratio never exceeding 1:4. Park free on site; scrubs are royal blue; and the culture emphasizes teamwork.
